Rabbi Mendel Prus was raised in Boston, MA, where he was imbued with a sense of mission to share his love of Judaism. His parents were sent as emissaries by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to establish the first Chabad center of Greater Boston. Rabbi Prus studied in Yeshiva in New York, Toronto, and five years in Israel. He has volunteered to travel to teach and guide families in remote Jewish enclaves among them: Nigeria, Belarus, the Dutch ABC Islands, Suriname, Sweden, Denmark, and Nova Scotia. He completed his studies in the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva in NY and was ordained as Rabbi in 2001. Rabbi Prus is the director of Lubavitch of Doylestown. He loves to hang out and discuss Jewish topics and issues with an emphasis on spirituality and Chassidic mysticism.
Dassie Prus was raised in Brooklyn, NY. Dassie spent a year doing advanced Jewish studies in Tzfat, Israel. She has worked as a preschool teacher in LA and then as Youth Director for Lubavitch of Bucks County. She is currently the co-director of Lubavitch of Doylestown, as well as the Director of Chabad Hebrew School. She loves spending time with her five children and making them aware of the benefits of healthy living. She enjoys teaching and reading and is the author of the children's book, If the Candles Could Speak, a Chanukah Story.
